RESPONSIBILITIES

● Monitor BuildingConnected daily and identify new bid opportunities within our service scope
● Download and review full plan sets, including grading plans, elevations, utility layouts, and civil scopes
● Perform accurate material, dirt, and labor takeoffs using platforms like Bluebeam, Earthworks, or equivalent
● Develop precise estimates for grading, excavation, demolition, drainage, retaining walls, utilities, and more
● Submit professional bid packages using clients standardized pricing models
● Maintain and update a bid tracking log with active, pending, and awarded projects
● Work alongside teammates to strategize high-priority targets and follow-up communications
● Communicate directly with General Contractors, Estimators, and Developers for clarifications and updates
● Adjust pricing strategies based on regional cost trends, material fluctuations, and subcontractor availability
● Assist in updating clients pricing sheets and takeoff templates to keep our competitive edge sharp

QUALIFICATIONS

● 3+ years experience in estimating, takeoffs, or preconstruction in heavy civil, sitework, or commercial construction
● Skilled in site plan reading, including cut/fill maps, profiles, drainage plans, and building elevations
● Proficient in takeoff software: must have hands-on experience with Bluebeam, Earthworks, or similar platforms
● Ability to estimate in square foot, cubic yard, and linear foot metrics across multiple scopes
● Experienced with BuildingConnected or similar bid management platforms
● Self-driven with proven organizational and time-management skills
● Strong Excel and bid formatting knowledge is a must
● Knowledge of Middle Tennessee construction pricing is a major plus
