Job Title: Level 1 Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Level 1 Maintenance Technician to join our team. This entry-level role is responsible for assisting in the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of equipment, machinery, and facility operations. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance tasks and be eager to learn and grow within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machinery, equipment, and facility systems.
• Assist in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
• Conduct scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Follow safety guidelines and company policies to prevent workplace hazards.
• Work closely with senior technicians and supervisors to learn advanced maintenance procedures.
• Document maintenance activities and report issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with general building maintenance, including lighting, HVAC filters, and minor structural repairs.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly to minimize downtime.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or vocational training is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to follow instructions, read technical manuals, and learn new skills quickly.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in varying conditions (hot, cold, noisy, etc.).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in maintenance, repair, or a related field is a plus but not required.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, or plumbing systems.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
